Wawa Welcome America 4th of July Concert
Benjamin Franklin Parkway: July 4 at 7 p.m.
One of the most highly-anticipated events during this six-day event is the concert. This year’s headliner is Mary J. Blige, who will take the stage at the Parkway concert on Independence Day.
There will be other performances from great artists, including:
- The Philly POPS, the largest standalone pop music orchestra in the nation
- Broadway’s Mandy Gonzalez, known from plays such as In the Heights, Hamilton and Wicked
- Jazz musician Tony DeSare
- Boyz II Men, to be honored for their career
In true Independence Day fashion, the concert will be followed by a magnificent firework display.
The theme of this year’s Welcome America event is “Everyone is a History Maker.” Make your own history this summer by taking part in this fun-filled event. Whenever you decide to head down to the Parkway, make a pit stop at Geno’s Steaks! We are open 24 hours, seven days a week and are happy to serve you whenever you get a craving for Philly’s best cheesesteaks. Don’t worry – we won’t judge if you come daily.
