If you are looking for the best cheesesteaks in Philly, you head over to Geno’s Steaks. However, if you are looking for the best, largest collection of sharks on the East Coast, you travel a few minutes from downtown Philadelphia to the Camden Waterfront. The aquarium features unique exhibits with penguins, turtles, stingrays, and during the month of December, a scuba-diving Santa!
From December 2 to 30, 2017, Adventure Aquarium will turn into an underwater winter wonderland for the whole family to enjoy. The aquarium’s Christmas celebration includes twinkling lights, trees, and snow! Included with admission, children will be able to enjoy live shows such as the interactive “I Believe in Scuba Santa” and meet-and-greets with classic characters such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and the aquarium’s own Abominable Snow Monster, Bumble. Also, don’t forget to visit the rest of the 8,500 aquatic species throughout the aquarium. New in 2017, the aquarium is home to Piranha Falls. The exhibit shows attendees schools of red-bellied piranha, originally hailing from the Rivers of the Amazon.
For adults ages 13+, admission is $29 and $21 for children. General admission tickets include access to a 3D movie such as “Splash and Bubbles: 3D Undersea Adventure,” or “Coastal Predators: A 3D Experience.” To save money on food, take the quick trip to Geno’s Steaks for the best cheesesteaks in Philly.
