Celebrate summer at the Manayunk Arts Festival! From June 24 to 25, head over to historic Main Street for the largest outdoor arts festival in the Delaware Valley. The two-day festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Visitors can check out nearly 300 vendors, selling handcrafted products and pieces of art, or they can hang out and listen to live music.
One popular attraction is the Emerging Artists tent, which features young talents in art and business, so don’t forget to stop by! The rest of the event tents fall into seven general categories:
- Jewelry
- Glass and ceramics
- Fiber
- Painting and drawing
- Photography
- Wood and sculpture
- Mixed media
Regardless of what your favorite type of art is, the Manayunk Arts Festival is sure to have something for everyone. It’s a great event to walk around and enjoy the wonderful summer sun!
The event is accessible by car, foot, train, or bus. The SEPTA trains and buses drop you off just a few blocks from the start of the action, so you don’t have too long of a trek to the festival. Shuttle buses are also offered from 555 City Avenue and the Ivy Ridge Train Station. Roundtrip rides are only $4 for adults and $2 for kids.
Spend your weekend the right way by seeing local artists and soaking up the sun. Make the event even better by swinging by Geno’s Steaks to pick up your favorite freshly-made cheesesteak. We can’t wait to see you!
